Barcelona adds scorer Neal
Gary Neal - AXA FC Barcelona AXA F.C. Barcelona on Sunday announced the signing of combo guard Gary Neal for the remainder of the current season. Neal (198, 23) was unknown when he was signed this season by Pinar Karsiyaka of Turkey, but proceeded to lead the Turkish League in scoring with 23.6 points on average over 19 games. He score 20 points or more in 15 of those games, including a 37-point effort against Top 16 qualifier Efes Pilsen. Neal made 42.8% of his three-point shots in the Turkish League as well as posting 5.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game. Neal previously played at Towson University in the NCAA, where he averaged 25.3 points his senior season, fifth-best in the first division of the U.S. university competition.
