Top 16 Week 5 co-MVPs: Scoonie Penn and Axel Hervelle
In one of the most balanced weeks ever seen in the Top 16, it comes as no surprise that two players tied for the best individual performances. Scoonie Penn of Efes Pilsen and Axel Hervelle of Real Madrid are the Top 16 Week 5 co-MVPs, each with a 32 index. Hervelle had 20 points and 11 rebounds in his team's 100-103 overtime loss at home against Maccabi Elite. He added an assist, 2 steals, a blocked shot and 8 fouls drawn for his 32 index. Meanwhile, Penn shined in Efes' 79-83 home loss against Partizan Igokea with a career-high 33 points on 7-for-10 three-point shooting and 4 of 5 free throws. He added 3 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 fouls drawn for his index. Terence Morris of Maccabi Elite paced his team to that major win in Madrid with 23 points on 4-of-5 three-point shooting and 3 of 3 free throws. He added 13 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals, 2 blocks and 3 fouls drawn for a 31 index. Felipe Reyes of Real Madrid, with a 30 index, and Jeremiah Massey of Aris TT Bank, who achieved a 29 index, complete the top individual performances this week.
