Fantasy Challenge 2007-08 prize winners!

The fourth edition of Euroleague Basketball Fantasy Challenge, having reached its conclusion, was an outstanding success by any measure. Almost 70,000 teams from among more than 50,000 registered users participated more than ever in the Euroleague Basketball experience by choosing, filling and managing their own teams over 20 weeks of the Regular Season and the Top 16. For the whole 2007-08 season, the very best among them was Carlos Castro of Spain, whose grand prize is a trip to the 2008 Final Four in Madrid with a friend as Euroleague Basketball's special VIP guest. Carlos's score of 3,533.3 was the made him the overall winner by a 15.5-point margin. What's more, his was the second-highest overall score in the contest's history!

Carlos had also been the regular season Fantasy Challenge winner and claimed as his prize a jersey signed by CSKA Moscow star Ramunas Siskauskas! "I started playing three or four years ago, but I never got close enough to win prizes before," Carlos told Euroleague.net after winning the contest. "I became a Euroleague addict with this game." The contest yeilded a total of 37 prizes ranging from autographed jerseys to official Euroleague basketballs to Euroleague Basketball Media Guides to Nike Watches, NikeId shoe vouchers and Nike equipment backpacks. Spain and Lithuania again dominated the winners list, published below, but altogether, nine different countries were represented. No end-of-season winners were allowed to claim two prizes, in which case the other went to the next-best player in their category. Congratulations to all the winners!
