NIKE IJT Belgrade game report: Red Star 92-83 Hemofarm Vrsac
Lazar Radosavijevic - Red Star - Belgrade Junior Tournament 2008 Red Star Belgrade will travel to Madrid to compete in the Euroealgue Nike Junior Tournament to be held during the upcoming Final Four after beating Hemofarm Vrsac 92-83 in the game for the third place of the Nike Junior Tournament in Belgrade, Serbia. Red Star used a big third quarter and a hot hand of Lazar Radosavijevic to turn around the scoreboard and earn the prestigious ticket. Hemofarm's forward Uros Petrovic was the big presence in the first quarter. He was soon joined by big man Nikola Cerina, who had 10 points and five assists by halftime as Hemofarm took a 41-46 lead. Red Star came out of the break with more intensity and pressure on the ball, which made Hemofarm lose focus. Radosavijevic, who had already scored 18 points in the first half, was joined by forward Nikola Rondovic, who added points from close and far range. By the end of the third quarter it was already 71-62. Red Star maintained the lead throughout the fourth quarter and even after Hemofarm guard Danilo Andusic nailed a three-pointer to make it just a six-point game with 2 minutes on the clock, Red Star found Loncovic to match from long distance and lock the win on Red Star's side. Radosavijevic topped the scoring sheet with 28 points, including 4three-pointers. Rondovic added all his 12 points in the second half while Mladen Lukic had 11. Petrovic was the top scorer of Hemofarm with 24 points and Andusic added 22.
