Greens sign Obradovic for two more seasons
Only few hours before the tipoff of the Euroleague Final Four, Panathinaikos announced that coach Zeliko Obradovic extended his contact with the team for two more years. The most successful coach in European Club Basketball history, with six continental crowns, Obradovic took over the Panathinaikos bench in summer of 1999. By the end of the contract, he will have coached the same club for 11 consecutive seasons, another modern Euroleague record. Obradovic, 48, has participated in 11 Euroleague Final Fours and won six trophies, with Partizan Belgrade (1), Joventut Badalona (1), Real Madrid (1) and Panathinaikos (3). Since he became coach of Panathinaikos, led the Greens to seven Greek League championships, five Greek Cups, and five Final Four appearances.
