Piero Bucchi named new Milano coach
Piero Bucchi is Armani Jeans Milano's new coach Armani Jeans Milano has begun its preparations for the upcoming season by naming Piero Bucchi as the new head coach. Bucchi, 50, arrives from Eldo Napoli, where he spent the past three seasons. Bucchi coached Napoli in the 2006-07 Euroleague and led the team to the 2006 Italian Cup. He is among the most respected coaches in Italy, having guided Rimini Basket, Benetton Treviso and Virtus Roma in addition to Napoli. He also had a brief stint in Poland with Idea Slask Wroclaw in 2001. Bucchi was named the Italian Coach of the Year in 2000 for leading Benetton to the Italian League Finals and winning the Italian Cup. He takes over for Attilio Caja, who took Milano to the Italian semifinals last season.
