Milano tabs rebounding ace Rocca
Armani Jeans Milano has added some muscle in the paint for next season with the signing of power forward Richard Mason Rocca for the next two seasons. Rocca (204, 30) has played one previous season in the Euroleague, 2006-07 for Eldo Napoli, during which he led the competition in offensive rebounding with 3.5 per game. He has spent all but one season in his professional career in Italy, first with Aurora Basket Jesi, which he helped gain promotion to the top league in Italy, and then the last four seasons with Napoli, where he finished as the team captain. Last season Rocca averaged 11.2 points and 7.9 rebounds in 33 Italian League appearances. The big man also represented Rocca Italy at the World Championships in Japan in 2006, where he averaged 6.3 points and 5 rebounds in 17 minutes per game. Rocca will wear the number 12 for Milano.
