Alba Berlin lands Adam Chubb
Adam Chubb - Artland Dragons German League champion Alba Berlin has started to get ready for its Euroleague return in the 2008-09 season by inking center Adam Chubb to a two-year deal. Chubb (207, 26) arrives from the Artland Dragons, where he averaged 14.7 points on 61.1% two-pointers and 5.2 rebounds in 13 ULEB Cup games last season. Chubb helped the Dragons to win the German Cup, as well as reaching the ULEB Cup Last 16 round. He has also played for Eisbaeren Bremerhaven and the Giessen 46ers in Germany and Ulsan Phoebus in South Korea since finishing his college career at the University of Pennsylvania (NCAA). Chubb was also a member of the USA National Team in the 2005 Tournament of the Americas. "Adam Chubb has showed it recent years what he can do in the German League and European competitions," Alba sports director Henning Harnisch said. "He has improved year after year. We are very pleased that we have a player of his talent so early in the off-season."
