Olympiacos tabs Michalis Pelekanos

Olympiacos keeps playing a major role in the Euroleague off-season market. Just days after signing Zoran Erceg, Nikola Vujcic, Theo Papaloukas and Yotam Halperin, the Reds announced on Monday the arrival of guard Michalis Pelekanos, who inked a three-year deal with the club. Pelekanos (198, 27) is an accomplished defensive stopper that arrives from Real Madrid, where he averaged 3 points and 1.5 rebounds in 17 Euroleague games last season. He has also played for Panellinios, AEK and Peristeri in his native Greece. Pelekanos has also been a member of the Greek national team. "Playing for Olympiacos is a great opportunity for me and I am determined not to let you down," Pelekanos said. "We must now work together to build a great team and having so many good players in out roster will help us."
