Unicaja adds size with Robert Archibald

Robert Archibald Unicaja announced Monday that center Robert Archibald signed a two-year deal with the Spanish powerhouse. Archibald (212, 28) arrives from Ukrainian side Azovmash Mariupol, where he averaged 11.4 points and 8.6 rebounds in eight ULEB Cup games last season. He also helped Azovmash to win both the Ukrainian League and the Ukrainian Cup titles and was also chosen as the league playoffs MVP. Archibald has also played for DKV Joventut and Pamesa Valencia in Spain as well as Memphis, Phoenix and Toronto in the NBA and Scavolini Pesaro in Italy. Archibald reached the Euroleague Quarterfinals Playoffs with Scavolini in 2005 and won the FIBA EuroCup with Joventut in 2006. He is now taking his size and post skills to Malaga in what will be his third Euroleague team.
