Fischer (211, 27) arrives from Euphony Bree where he was named last season's Belgian League MVP after leading the league in rebounds, blocked shots and index ranking. Fischer averaged 14.4 points, 10.8 rebounds and 2.8 blocks in 36 games for Bree, helping the club to win the Belgian League regular season and reach the title series against Spirou Charleroi. Fischer has also led the German League in blocked shots (2.6 bpg.) playing for EWE Baskets Oldenburg in the 2006-07 season. Fischer played college basketball at West Virginia college before moving to Europe. His first stop was Poland, where he played for Anwil Wloclawek and registered his ULEB Cup debut in the 2005-06 season before joining Oldenburg. Maccabi is still looking for a point guard to complete its roster for the upcoming season.
