Week 3 MVP: Juan Carlos Navarro, Winterthur FCB
Juan Carlos Navarro - Winterthur FCB Juan Carlos Navarro, the world champion from Winterthur FC Barcelona, earned the Week 3 MVP honor with an index ranking of 35 in his team's 86-92 road win against Zalgiris Kaunas on Thursday. The 26-year-old guard scored 31 points on 9-for-15 shooting and 10 of 10 free throws. He added 2 assists, a steal and 9 fouls drawn. Navarro scored 20 points in the second half to lead Barcelona to victory and a 3-0 record as the exclusive Group C leader. Navarro came within 1 point of his Euroleague career-high in points, which was set last season, also against Zalgiris.

"I feel very happy for this award but the most important thing is that we could win against a very difficult team," Navarro said on Friday. "Everybody likes this kind of award but if we would have lost, then I wouldn'tlike it so much...Last season I also had a good game against Zalgiris and I think that gym helps me to performance well. The enviroment is great and fans really know the game. In the third quarter, I scored everything. I was on fire. Every ball I touched, I scored. It's a great feeling. This season I feel pretty good. I'm playing good and I think I can improve some still."

Antonios Fotsis of MBC Dynamo Moscow was second in the MVP standings with a 33 index. Fotsis paced Dynamo to its victory over Climamio with 26 points on 10-for-13 shooting while grabbing 8 rebounds and collecting 3 steals. Despite his team's home loss to Panathinaikos, Marko Milic of Union Olimpija scored 19 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for an index of 29, third-best this week. Dejan Bodiroga of Lottomatica Roma (26 index), Zoran Planinic and Luis Scola of Tau Ceramica (25 each), Marcus Goree of Benetton (25) and Marcus Faison of RheinEnergie (25) complete the top individual performances of the week.

Richard Rocca's 14 rebounds in Eldo Napoli's victory vs. Aris were the most of the week and saw him take the league lead with 10.5 boards per game. Olympiacos's Alex Acker and Pau-Orthez's Aaron Miles each dished 9 assists in Week 3. Nikos Zizis of Benetton Treviso leads the league with 6 assists per game after dishing 7 this week as his team beat Fenerbahce Ulker.
