Armani Jeans land Pape Sow
Armani Jeans Milano upgraded the team's frontcourt with the signing of center Pape Sow, who arrives from Polish champion Prokom Trefl Sopot. Sow (208, 26) signed for the upcoming season with a team option for 2009-10. He played only two Euroleague games with Prokom last season after joining the club in January, but still managed to average 13 points and 8 rebounds in those appearances. A native of Senegal, Sow played colleges basketball in the United States at Cal State-Fullerton. He then played in the NBA with Toronto, appearing in 76 games – including 29 starts – over three seasons. He began the past season in Italy with Sebastiani Rieti, taking part in 19 games during which he averaged 13.5 points and 9.4 rebounds before moving to Prokom. "I am very happy to be a player of Armani Jeans," Sow told the club's website. "I can not wait to start working with my new team, to play and to see how far we can get."
