Alba Berlin tabs Ansu Sesay
Ansu Sesay - AJ Milano Alba Berlin keeps getting ready for its Euroleague return by inking power forward Ansu Sesay to a one-year deal, with an option to extend it until the end of the 2009-10 season. Sesay (206, 32) arrives from Armani Jeans Milano, where he averaged 10.5 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.4 steals in 14 Euroleague games last season. He has also played for Napoli, Montepaschi Siena and Roseto in Italy, the Golden State Warriors and the Seattle Supersonics in the NBA, the Greenville Groove in the NBDL, the Quad City Thunder and the Rockford Lightning in the CBA, as well as for Santa Lucia Realty in the Philippines. Sesay hekped Napoli to win the Italian Cup title in 2006. "Once we part ways with Goran Nikolic, we were looking for an athletic power forward who can hit outside shots," Alba head coach Luka Pavicevic said. "Ansu Sesay is exactly the kind of player we were looking for."
