Avellino adds veteran forward Marko Tusek
Marko Tusek Euroleague newcomer Avellino has added some valuable experience to its roster by signing forward Marko Tusek for the coming season. Tusek (203, 33) arrives from Unics Kazan in Russia, whom he helped reach the ULEB Cup Final Eight last season. He averaged 7.3 points in 13 ULEB Cup appearances for Kazan. Tusek has spent the better part of his career in Italy, including four seasons with Lottomatica Roma. He’s also suited up for Basket Rimini, Scavolini Pesaro and Armani Jeans Milano between 1998 and 2007. Tusek began his career with KK Triglav Kranj in his native Slovenia and then joined Union Olimpija, which he helped win four Slovenian titles between 1994 and 1998 and reach the 1997 Euroleague Final Four. More recently, he spent half a season at Unicaja and played at the 2007 Final Four in Athens, where he scored a game-high 18 points to lead his team over Tau Ceramica in the third-place game.
