Olimpija adds two rookies
JaJuan Smith - Union OlimpijaAfter one Euroleague regular season game, Union Olimpija has moved to shore up its roster with the signings Wednesday of two new players, guard JaJuan Smith and forward Frank Robinson. Both were registered to play in Olimpija's home opener in Group C against Tau Ceramica on Thursday. Smith (192, 22) will make his professional debut with Olimpija after having played three seasons at University of Tennesse, averaging 14.4 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists in the last of those. Smith has signed until the end of the season. Robinson (197, 24) spent the last three seasons at Cal-State Fullerton University, averaging 15.8 points, 6.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 2007-08. He will also be starting his pro career with Olimpija, but will do so on a two-month contract. While registering those two new players, Olimpija de-registered Tyler Crawford, a swingman who did not appear in the team's opening-game loss at Joventut last week, from its Euroleague roster.
