Euroleague Basketball TV coverage continues growth
Barcelona, December 9, 2008.
At the halfway point of the Euroleague Basketball regular season, TV coverage of the competition can be considered nothing short of spectacular, with any fan in the world who wants to see the games able to do so live. Euroleague games this season are being shown in 168 countries through 52 official broadcasters reaching across all five continents. Of the 60 regular season games played so far, 100 percent have been produced for television and distributed for a total of 329 live broadcasts, meaning that the average Euroleague game is seen on more than four channels as it happens.
Another important means by which Euroleague Basketball reaches all the devoted fans of the competition is the in-house broadband channel Euroleague.TV. This is the second season in a row that Euroleague Basketball offers this platform to all fans who wish to watch any and all games, no matter where they live or what time they want to tune in. With half of the regular season played, thousands of Euroleague.TV transactions have been made. One of the most positive developments is the growing demand for the season-long pass on Euroleague.TV, which gives fans the chance to watch all games at the time of their choosing, which reinforces the concept of devotion to the competition in general.
