EUROLEAGUE TIEBREAKERS
When all teams have played each other twice:
1.
Best record in head-to-head games between all tied teams.
2.
Higher cumulative score difference in head-to-head games between all tied teams.
3.
Higher cumulative score difference for the entire regular season.
4.
Higher total of points scored for the entire regular season.
5.
Higher sum of quotients of points in favor and points against of each match played.
Group A
Olympiacos, Unicaja, Maccabi Electra and Cibona have clinched the four available tickets to the Top 16 from Group A. Olympiacos could seal first place in the group if it beats Maccabi in Tel Aviv AND Cibona defeats Unicaja.
Group B
Regal FC Barcelona, Montepaschi Siena and Panathinaikos has sealed the first three spots to the Top 16 from Group B, while Asseco Prokom, SLUC Nancy and Zalgiris all have hopes to win fourth place. Barcelona would wrap up first place and with it a top seed in the Top 16 with a win this week at Prokom. If Barcelona wins and Panathinaikos beats Montepaschi, the order of finish for them will be Barcelona first, Panathinaikos second and Montepaschi third. If Barcelona wins and Montepaschi beats Panathinaikos by at least six points, the order of finish will be Barcelona first, Montepaschi second and Panathinaikos third. Fourth place will come down to the regular season finale, however Zalgiris must beat SLUC Nancy to remain in contention.
Group C
Tau Ceramica and Lottomatica Roma are already through to the Top 16 from Group C, while Fenerbahce Ulker, DKV Joventut and Alba Berlin fight for the remaining two tickets. Tau and Roma will play for first place this week. Tau needs to win by at least 4 points to seal first place, while Roma can win by any margin to become group champ. If Tau wins by 3 or fewer points, first place would not be decided until Week 10. Both Joventut, which faces Berlin, and Fenerbahce, which visits Union Olimpija, will advance this week if they win.
Group D
CSKA Moscow is the only team in Group D to have advanced to the Top 16 after eight games, but has not mathematically clinched first place yet. To do so in Week 9, CSKA must beat Efes Pilsen AND have Real Madrid lose at Armani Jeans Milano. Five teams continue to battle for the remaining five tickets to the next stage. Both Madrid and Efes would advance to the Top 16 with victories in Week 9. Madrid also advances if it loses as long as Panionios On Telecoms beats Partizan Belgrade. Efes can advance with a loss if Madrid beats Milano. Partizan will be eliminated from advancing if it loses while both Efes and Milano win.
