Dynamo tabs big man Ekezie
Looking to add size in the face of frontcourt injuries, Dynamo Moscow signed big man Obinna Ekezie in time for its Group A road game at Olympiacos on Thursday. Ekezie (208, 31) played only four ULEB Cup games last season with Lottomatica Roma, averaging 9 points and 5.2 rebounds. In 16 Italian League games, he posted 8 points, 5 rebounds and 2 steals per game. Prior to Rome, Ekezie had spent the better part of six seasons between five NBA teams, last averaing 5.5 points and 4.3 rebounds for Atlanta in 2004-05. He also played briefly for Crvena Zvezda of Serbia in 2002-03, averaging 16.3 points and 10 rebounds. Dynamo has been without power forward Miroslav Raicevic since the beginning of the season while starting center Lazaros Papadopoulos has missed the last three games and is not expected to play against Olympiacos, either.
