Schortsanitis returns for Reds
Sofoklis Schortsanitis - OlympiacosA month after he was suspended by his club for disciplinary reasons, Olympiacos center Sofoklis Schortsanitis has returned to action in practices with his teammates. The Reds had sanctioned the 24-year old center and fined him one month's salary on March 3 after the team's Greek League showdown with Panathinaikos, the same archrival that Olympiacos plays in the Euroleague semifinals on May 1 in Berlin, Germany. During his suspension, Schortsanitis followed an individual training program. On Friday, he returned to practicing with the rest of the team. He is expected to see action in upcoming Greek League matches prior to the Final Four. He appeared in 13 Euroleague Basketball games for the club this season, averaging 4.4 points and 1.8 rebounds in eight minutes off the bench.
