Week 7 MVP: Brent Wright, Cibona
Brent Wright - Cibona Brent Wright of Cibona registered the top individual performance in Week 7 of the Euroleague regular season, leading his team to a thrilling 91-84 overtime win against Lottomatica Roma. Wright shined for Cibona with 17 points on 11-of-14 free-throw shooting. He added 13 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 steals, 2 blocks and 12 fouls drawn for an index rating of 35. Scoonie Penn of Olympiacos was second in the weekly MVP standings with a 34 index. Penn had 22 points on 12-of-12 free throws, 6 assists and 10 fouls drawn in the Reds' road win against RheinEnergie. Marko Milic of Union Olimpija was third in the Week 7 MVP race with an index rating of 32. Milic had 24 points on 12-for-15 shooting and 15 rebounds in Olimpija's road loss at DKV Joventut. Tanoka Beard of Zalgiris Kaunas (index 30) and Jeremiah Massey of Aris TT Bank (30) complete the top individual performances in Week 7.

Michael Wright of Elan Bearnais Pau-Orthez was the top scorer in Week 7 with 30 points, helping his team to a 106-110 double-overtime road win against Zalgiris in Kaunas. He is now No. 2 on the scoring charts with 17.9 points per game, trailing only Juan Carlos Navarro of Winterthur FC Barcelona (21.6 ppg.). Marko Milic of Union Olimpija grabbed a career-high 15 rebounds in his team's home loss against DKV Joventut. Milic ranks 16th in the overall standings, which Mirsad Turkcan leads at 11.1 rebounds per game. Theo Papaloukas of CSKA Moscow led the week in assists by dishing 8 to help the reigning Euroleague champion beat Fenerbahce Ulker 64-74 on the road. Papaloukas has 35 assists in 7 games (5 apg.) and is second in the standings, behind Nikos Zisis of Benetton (5.1 apg.). Christian Dalmau of Prokom Trefl Sopot collected 6 steals, more than anyone else this week, in his team's road win at Climamio Bologna, while Marcin Gortat of RheinEnergie, Jonas Maciulis of Zalgiris and Florent Pietrus of Unicaja each had 3 blocks this week. Sixteen-year-old Ricky Rubio of DKV Joventut leads the league in steals (3.2 spg.), while Marcus Haislip of Efes Pilsen is first in blocks (2 bpg.). As many as seven players - Milic, Turkcan, Tanoka Beard of Zalgiris, Britton Johnsen of Pau, Brent Wright of Cibona, Luca Garri of Lottomatica Roma and Eric Campbell of Le Mans - collected a double-double this week. For Campbell, it was a third straight double-double.
