Reds nursing injured Vasilopoulos, Pelekanos
Panagiotis Vasilopoulos - OlympiacosOlympiacos is facing injury problems right before the Final Four, as key playoffs performer Panagiotis Vasilopoulos and defensive ace Michalis Pelekanos are sidelined. Whether they play or not in the Final Four in Berlin this coming will be a game-time decision, but neither is expected to dress Monday night when Olympiacos plays its second Greek League playoff games. Indeed, Vasilopoulos has missed the Reds' last four games due to a back injury. He has not been able to rejoin the team in practice. Meanwhile, Pelekanos is also out of action because of a leg injury. Both players are following special treatment but are listed as doubtful for the big showdown against archrivals Panathinaikos on Friday in the Euroleague semifinals. Vasilopoulos averages 4.5 points on 43.3% three-pointers and 2.6 rebounds in 15 Euroleague games this season. Meanwhile, Pelekanos has averaged 1.4 points in 11 Euroleague games.
