Le Mans, Dee Spencer stay together
Dewarick Spencer - Le MansLe Mans announced Tuesday that its top scorer from last season, Dee Spencer, would return to the club for the 2009-10 campaign. Spencer (193, 28) was an important force for Le Mans, averaging 13.7 points in 10 Euroleague games and 15.7 points in the French League. Spencer was a key force in Le Mans's run to the Semaine des As crown, wavering 18.3 points per game in the quarterfinal, semifinal and final. He was the second-best scorer in the 2007-08 Euroleague regular season, when he recorded 18.1 points per game with Virtus Bologna. Prior to Bologna, Spencer spent two seasons in France with Chorale Roanne, helping that team to the 2006-07 French League title and the 2007 Semaine des As trophy. He was both the French League scoring leader and MVP of the French League all-star game that same season. Spencer joins J.P. Batista and Antoine Diot as players who have re-signed with Le Mans so far this summer.
