Benetton signs Cartier Martin
Cartier Martin joins BenettonBenetton Basket Gioco Digitale reached an agreement with scoring ace Cartier Martin, who inked a multi-year deal with his new team. Martin (201, 24) just had a sudden impact in the NBA Las Vegas Summer League, averaging 19.7 points and 4.3 rebounds in 3 games with the Golden St. Warriors. He started the 2007-08 season with the Iowa Energy, averaging 20.1 points and 5.3 rebounds in 22 D-League games before joining the Charlotte Bobcats. Martin has also played for Antalya Buyuksehir Belediye in Turkey since finishing his four-year career at the Kansas State University (NCAA). He made it to the All-D-League 3rd Team with Iowa last season. Martin now hopes to help Benetton to survive the Qualifying Rounds and reach the Euroleague regular season.
