Aris BSA lands Nikos Hatzivrettas
Nikos Hatzivrettas - PanathinaikosAris BSA 2003 reached an agreement with shooting guard Nikos Hatzivrettas, who inked a two-year deal with his new club on Tuesday. Hatzivrettas (195, 32) arrives from reigning Euroleague champion Panathinaikos, where he played for six consecutive seasons. He averaged 5.2 points in 29 Greek League games last season. Hatzivrettas helped Panathinaikos to win six consecutive Greek League titles from 2004 to 2009. He also lifted the Euroleague trophy twice in 2007 and 2009, as well as making it to the 2005 Final Four. Hatzivrettas also won five straight Greek Cup titles with the Greens. He has also played for Aias Evosmou and Iraklis in Greece, as well as for CSKA Moscow in Russia. He helped CSKA to win the Russian League title and reach the Euroleague Final Four in 2003. Hatzivrettas has also been a regular member of the Greek national team for an entire decade. He helped Greece to win the gold medal at EuroBasket 2005 and also reached the 2006 World Champhionships title game, downing the United States to lost the final against Spain. Hatzivrettas is now bringing first-class experience to Aris in the Euroleague Qualifying Rounds.
