One of the Euroleague's top scorers this season is changing places as Unicaja announced the signing of shooting guard Marcus Faison, even if he would only be eligible to play in the competition again if his new team qualifies for the Top 16. Faison (195, 28) comes from RheinEnergie Cologne, where he is ranked 14th among Euroleague scorers during the regular season with 15.1 points per game. Faison's shooting percentages across the board are fantastic. He owns the best three-point accuracy, 57.6%, among long-distance shooters who have made 17 or more shots from the arc. He ranks second, at 92.1%, among players who have made 26 or more free throws so far. He has also made 64.7% of his two-pointers, ranking seventh among players having made 20 or more of those shots. Faison starred in the ULEB Cup for Charleroi during four seasons before he joined RheinEnergie this season for his and the club's first Euroleague campaigns. At Unicaja, he will be expected to fill in for injured star Marcus Brown. Due to Euroleague regulations, however, since he already played for another team in the regular season, Faison would only become eligible for Unicaja if the team reaches the Top 16.
