Maroussi adds playmaker Jamon Gordon

Jamon Gordon (Photo: kksplit.hr)Immediately after the Hellenic Basketball Federation approved the request for a third non-European player allowed in the Greek A1 League, Maroussi Costa Coffee pounced and signed point guard Jamon Gordon, who will join his American compatriots Billy Keys and Jared Homan. Gordon (191, 25) arrives from Croatian side KK Split, where he averaged 19.3 points, 2.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.5 steals in the Adriatic League and 13.2 points, 4 boards, 4.9 assists and 3.1 steals in the Croatian League last season. He previously played in Europe at Antalya Buyuksehir Belediyesi in Turkey, signed for Greek side Trikala, but was released before ever playing a game, and later played with Artland Dragons and Koln 99ers in Germany. Gordon first made a name for himself with an impressive college basketball career at Virginia Tech, where he was named the 2006-07 Atlantic Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Year.
