Cummard (201, 24) is the club's first new signing after it extended five players from last season's roster in recent months. The contract is for one season with a team option for a second year. Cummard was a standout player for the Cougars, earning a place on the All-Mountain West Conference first team after both his junior and senior seasons. He was the MWC co-Player of the Year after his junior year. Last season he averaged 16.8 points, 6.2 rebounds and 3.4 assists in helping BYU reach the NCAA Tournament for the third year in a row.

"We have at the small forward position a fresh, young player and we are looking forward to the energy, talent and ambitions he has," head coach Luka Pavicevic said. "We are aware that a player coming directly from college to Europe needs time to reorganize himself and make sense of everything. We will try to settle this time with hard work and patience from both sides as quickly as possible."
