Reds' Pelekanos, sent on loan to Maroussi
After a year with Olympiacos, Greek small forward Michalis Pelekanos was loaned for the 2009-10 season to Maroussi Costa Coffee. Pelekanos (198, 28) grew up with BC Peristeri, where he played until 2004, before moving to AEK Athens for two seasons (2004-06). Since then he has played for Panellinios (2006-07), Real Madrid (2007-08) and Olympiacos (2008-09), where he had an average of 1.5 points and 1.4 boards in 12 2008-09 Euroleague games. With the Greek National Team Pelekanos participated at the 2007 European Championships and at the 2008 Olympic Games.
