Bogdanovic (200, 20) arrives from Real Madrid, where last season he played for the second team in the Spanish fourth division. Bogdanovic grew up with HKK Zrinjski Mostar of Bosnia and Herzegovina and played there from 2004 to 2006, but the last of those seasons was already on loan from Real Madrid, which had signed him as a young prospect in 2005. In 2006 he moved to Spain to play with the Real Madrid second team to gain experience. Last season, he played in the Spanish League with CB Murcia, also on loan, but left in January and returned to Madrid. Bogdanovic averaged 17.3 points – third-best in the tournament – and 5.6 rebounds at the European Under-20 Championships with the Croatian national team last month.
