PARTIZAN nabs top prospect Branislav Djekic

Branislav Djekic – Serbia (Photo: FIBA Europe/Pascal Allee)Partizan Belgrade added another future star to its ranks by signing promising teenage big man Branislav Djekic for the next four years. Djekic (205, 18) arrives from another top talent producer, FMP. He played for the Serbian national team that won the gold medal at the recent European Under-18 Championships in Metz, France. Djekic averaged 11.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game for the Serbian squad, He was also a member of the Serbian side that won gold at the 2007 European U-16 Championships.
