Euroleague CEO to participate in EU Conference

 Barcelona, September 16, 2009. Euroleague CEO Jordi Bertomeu will take part in the "EU Conference on Licensing Systems for Club Competitions", hosted by the European Sport Commission, to be held on September 17 and 18 in Brussels.
During the two-day conference, more than 20 international sports executives will debate the different licensing systems for club competitions. Among the different aspects of licensing they will analyze are: the importance of financial discipline, opportunities and challenges, licensing systems as a tool to promote investment, improving infrastructure and club licensing as a protection for the integrity of the competitions.
Ms. Odile Quintin, Director General for Education and Culture, European Commission; Mr. Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Chairman of the European Club Association; Mr. David Taylor, UEFA General Secretary; Mr. Javed Khan, Chief Financial Officer, English Premiere League; and Mr. Frederic Thiriez, Chairman Ligue de Football Professionnel (France) are among the speakers who will be part of the panel.
