Sportitalia becomes Euroleague official broadcaster
Euroleague Basketball is proud to announce that Euroleague Basketball games will be broadcast in Italy thanks to a new agreement with Sportitalia. All Italian fans will be able to watch all Euroleague Basketball with Italian teams during the next three seasons through SI and SI 2, in both satellite and DTT platforms. Sportitalia is one of the main television platforms in Italy, with DTT and satellite platforms reaching more than 16 million potential viewers. With this agreement, Euroleague Basketball games are now broadcast in 39 countries and territories through 156 TV channels, reaching all five continents.
"We are very satisfied with the agreement we have reached with Sportitalia as we ensure high-level TV coverage in one of our main markets, Italy," states Mr. Andrea Bassani, Euroleague Basketball Director of Television.
"Sportitalia believes that the agreement with Euroleague Basketball is one of the most significant achievements since the start of its activities," Bruno Bogarelli, publisher of Sportitalia, said. "We are extremely pleased and proud for this opportunity and for the chance that Euroleague Basketball has given to our network and to our viewers."
