Sportingbet Fantasy Challenge guest star, Jiri Zidek

 Sportingbet Fantasy Challenge contestants have a new expert against whom to measure themselves during the 2009-10 season: Jiri "George" Zidek, former former Euroleague and NCAA champion, the only European to ever win both titles. Big George won the Euroleague with Zalgiris Kaunas in 1999. He is now a color analyst of Euroleague games for Czech TV, not to mention for Euroleague.TV at the last two Final Fours. That means he is up-to-the-moment on Euroleague happenings and is ready to put his expertise up against the more than 40,000 fans who started the Sportingbet Fantasy Challenge season! He will also be blogging periodically over the next few months to explain his Sportingbet Fantasy Challenge strategy. Not surprisingly, his first team includes a couple of his fellow Czechs, Jiri Welsch of Unicaja and Jan Vesely of Partizan, who happen to be playing against each other in Week 1. There is also a nod to Zalgiris with the choice of young Martynas Pocius, a Euroleague.net regular season blogger, at shooting guard.
