Mondo becomes EB official global provider
Euroleague Basketball is proud to announce a new partnership deal with Mondo that makes the international sports equipment manufacturer an official global provider to Europe's top competition. Mondo is the latest in the family of Euroleague Basketball's global agreements, joining those of Nike, Efes Pilsener, Sportingbet and GNTO.
Following an ongoing Euroleague Basketball strategy of developing extra value for partners, Mondo will produce and sell exclusive Euroleague Basketball equipment, starting with the official basket and to be followed by more products during the 2009-10 season. Mondo will also collaborate with the Euroleague Basketball corporate social responsibility program, "Euroleague for Life". During the 2010 Euroleague Final Four in Paris, from May 7 to 9, a number of activities to help those most in need will take place in the French capital under the "Euroleague for Life" umbrella.
“We are extremely proud that Euroleague trusted us and chose us as the Official Provider of this great event, where the main European teams and the best athletes will play,” said Maurizio Stroppiana, President of Mondo. “This is a an important sponsorship for Mondo, whose philosophy has always been to cooperate actively with the main international sports associations in order to achieve technical development in all the different disciplines.”
"We are very proud of our agreement with Mondo as we consider that this partnership fits with our general strategy," Jordi Bertomeu Euroleague Basketball CEO said. "Mondo is a great partner and a reference in the sports industry worldwide. Their confidence in Euroleague Basketball and the commitment they have shown to Euroleague for Life is the path that we want to follow with all our partners."
