Maccabi's Landesberg to miss 3 to 4 weeks
Heading into the second half of the Top 16, defending champion Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv received bad news Tuesday when forward Sylven Landesberg was diagnosed with a stress fracture on his right foot that will keep him out of action for the next three to four weeks . Landesberg (1.98 meters, 24 years old) has come off the bench for 15 of the 16 games he played in Turkish Airlines Euroleague so far this season. He averaged 9.4 points and 2.8 rebounds over 19 minutes per game. This is his third season with Maccabi and is also his best one, as his numbers and role have increased dramatically from the previous two. If the recovery goes as planned, Landesberg should be able to play in the last Top 16 games before the playoffs.
