EA7 Milan adds athletic big man Elegar
EA7 Emporio Armani Milan added athleticism and strength in the paint by signing Frank Elegar on Wednesday. Milan reached an agreement with Estonian side Kalev/Cramo to buy out his contract, allowing Elegar (2.08 meters, 28 years old) to make his Turkish Airlines Euroleague debut with his new team. Elegar led the VTB League in performance index ranking (22.1 index) and rebounding (11.3 rpg.) to go with 14.9 points in 18 games this season. He has also played for Eisbaeren Bremenhaven of Germany, Bornova Bld and Antalya Buyuksehir Belediyesi of Turkey, JA Vichy of France, Ciclista Olimpico de la Banda in Argentina, Marousi in Greece and Cangrejeros de Santurce in Puerto Rico. Elegar helped Kalev win back-to-back Estonian League titles in 2013 and 2014. He has also been a member of the U.S. Virgin Islands national team. Elegar also won a silver medal at CentroBasket 2006 with the U.S. Virgin Islands.
