FC Barcelona reached a new agreement with shooting guard Brad Oleson to keep working together until the end of the 2016-17 season, the club announced Tuesday. Oleson (1.91 meters, 30 years old) joined Barcelona in January 2013 and arrived from Laboral Kutxa Vitoria. He helped Barcelona win the Spanish Cup title in 2013 and lifted the Spanish League trophy in 2014. Oleson also helped his team reach the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four last season. He couldn't help his team in the 2012-13 Euroleague, as Oleson started it with Laboral but could not play for Barcelona due to a stress fracture of the fibula in his left leg which had him sidelined for the remainder of the Euroleague season. Oleson started his career with Dodge City of the USBL and moved to Rosalia of the Spanish third division. He has also played for Fuenlabrada and Laboral, to which he helped reach the Euroleague playoffs in 2010 and 2011, lifting the Spanish League trophy in 2010. Oleson is averaging 7.2 points on 100% free throws and 2.3 assists in 11 games this season - his sixth in Europe's signature club competition.
