Pau-Orthez signs guard Melvin Sanders

Melvin Sanders Pau-Orthez strengthened its backcourt Tuesday with the signing of shooting guard Melvin Sanders, who started the season with the San Antonio Spurs of the NBA. Sanders (26, 1.96m) a graduate of Oklahoma State University, has split time between the NBDL and the Spurs over the past two seasons. He played 16 games for San Antonio last season, averaging 2.6 points and 1.4 rebounds in 7.1 minutes per game. Sanders was on the Spurs roster for the pre-season camp, including the NBA Europe Live games against Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv and Adecco Asvel. Sanders could make his Pau debut on Wednesday at home against Aris TT Bank.
