Lottomatica Roma big man Angelo Gigli to miss a month
Lottomatica Roma big man Angelo Gigli will be sidelined for a month after twisting his left knee in an Italian League game over the weekend. Gigli, one of his team's most productive big men this season, was hurt on Sunday against Angelico Biella. A Magnetic Resonance Imaging scan (MRI) on Monday revealed no damage to his ACL or MCL. Gigli will rest for a week as the swelling reduces and then engage in physical therapy before rejoining the team. In his second season in Rome, Gigli was averaging 6.7 points and 4.7 rebounds in 19 minutes in the Euroleague, helping the team to a 3-0 start.
