Sportingbet Fantasy Challenge: Week 6, injury update
The mid-point of the regular season came with one of the highest-scoring
Sportingbet Fantasy Challenge
prize winners ever in Week 5! Evaldas Cerniauskas of Lithuania posted one of the highest weekly scores in the contest's five-plus seasons so far with 246.3 points for his team "Kovotojai". That was 12.8 points better than second place during a week in which a whopping 43 Sportingbet Fantasy Challenge teams surpassed 200 points. Well done by everyone! For his great score, Evaldas will receive an official Euroleague basketball as his prize! How competitive is Sportingbet Fantasy Challenge? Not even a weekly winner with almost 250 points could crack the best 50 teams overall after five weeks. Halfway to the regular season winner's prizes - a team jersey signed by the winner's choice of player plus €100 worth of Sportingbet Free Bets - the overall leader is still Tomasz Pycia of Poland, whose team "himym" has a total of 885.4 points after scoring 127.3 in Week 5. The field is gaining on him, however, as the distance to second place is under 10 points and to third under 20. Of course, those heavy hitters are not just shooting to be Regular Season winner, but also to be the best overall after the Top 16 ends the contest. The top dog after all 16 weeks gets a grand prize that is unique in the world: a VIP trip for two to the 2010 Final Four in Paris and €500 worth of Sportingbet Free Bets! The Week 6 deadline is 17:15 CET on Wednesday, December 2, one hour before Week 6's first game, CSKA vs. Maroussi in Group C.
