Union Olimpija lands guard Curtis Millage
Union Olimpija Ljubljana has beefed up its backourt by signing point guard Curtis Millage for the remainder of the season, the club announced Thursday. Millage (185, 28) was registered by the team and could make his debut on Thursday night against Maccabi Electra. He arrives from Russian club Enisey Krasnoyarsk where he averaged 10.8 points, 2.2 assists and 2.3 steals last season. Olimpija represents his first Euroleague team, though he does have experience in the Eurocup. Millage produced 15.4 points, 4 assists and 3.2 assists for ASK Riga in the 2007-08 Eurocup campaign. Millage played college basketball at Arizona State University and has since played professionally in Germany for Wurzburg, in China for Zhejiang Wanma Cyclones, in Croatia for Split, in Latvia for Riga, in Russia for Enisey and in the United States for Fayetteville. Millage helped Riga win the Latvian League crown in 2007. He is considered an excellent defensive player and a scorer who can create shots for himself and others.
