Sportingbet Fantasy Challenge: Last 16, Week 2 winner
The lowest-scoring week of
Sportingbet Fantasy Challenge
since early December has brought a new prize winner, Justas Bitvinskas of Lithuania, who was the best of only four managers whose teams managed to do better than 200 points. Justas and his team "baltai_5.0" came in at 216.6 points, which was only 1.4 better than the second-place team, but enough for the Last 16 Week 2 victory. As such, Justas will receive the weekly prize, an official Euroleague basketball. Remember, too, that all weekly winners enter a drawing at season's end for an additional prize, so you can still register teams with the opening credit line of 500 to compete until the end of the Top 16! Along with a new prize winner, there were dramatic first-place changes in both the Top 16 and overall full-season standings this week. The new Top 16 leaders are Hakan Bilgin and Mert Genc, co-managers of the team "ihanet2", which has a two-week todal of 362.6 points. That's less than 2 points more than their second place pursuer. When the Top 16's six games are finished, this round's winner will receive a couple special prizes, a signed jersey of his or her choice of Euroleague player and Sportingbet Free Bets worth €100! Of course, after this round is when the grand prize will be awarded to the full-season overall champion, and in Last 16 Week 2, the leadership in that ranking changed hands. The new overall leader is Vaggos Fetsis of Greece with a 12-week total of 2010.2 points. That's 7 points more than the next-best team with four weeks left. The amazing grand prize - a VIP trip for two to the 2010 Final Four in Paris and €500 worth of Sportingbet Free Bets - awaits the champion at the end of the contest! Get your teams ready before the Last 16 Week 3 deadline, which is 17:15 on Wednesday, February 10, one hour before that week's first game, CSKA Moscow vs. Asseco Prokom Gdynia in Group G.
