Sportingbet Fantasy Challenge: Top 16, Week 3 winner
There is all sorts of news to report after Top 16 Week 3 points
Sportingbet Fantasy Challenge
into a one-week break prior to the last three games of the season. One of the highest-scored weeks in the contest's history produced the season's second winner from Israel as Arale Weisberg amassed 263 points with his team "Eiderson". That's the biggest one-week score this season, and was 8 points higher than the nex-best manager in Top 16 Week 3! As such, Arale will receive the weekly prize, an official Euroleague basketball. Along with a new prize winner, there are dramatic first-place changes once again in both the Top 16 and overall full-season standings this week. The new Top 16 leader is Xabier Aramendi Alberdi of Spain, whose team "xabiara6" now has a three-week todal of 570.4 points. That's a whopping 31 points higher than his second place pursuer. When the Top 16's six games are finished, this round's winner will receive a couple special prizes, a signed jersey of his or her choice of Euroleague player and Sportingbet Free Bets worth €100! Of course, after this round is also when the grand prize will be awarded to the full-season overall champion, and in Last 16 Week 3, the leadership in that ranking changed hands. The new overall leader is Dimitris Papadopoulos of Greece with his team "SS", which has a 13-week total of 2010.2 points. That's 21.4 points more than the next-best team with three weeks left. The amazing grand prize - a VIP trip for two to the 2010 Final Four in Paris and €500 worth of Sportingbet Free Bets - awaits the champion at the end of the contest! Remember, Sportingbet Fantasy Challenge managers have more time than usual to get teams ready before the Last 16 Week 4 deadline, which is 17:30 on Wednesday, February 24, one hour before that week's first game, Cibona vs. Olympiacos in Group H.
