Brose Baskets Bamberg added fire power to its roster by inking sharp shooter Lucca Staiger to a three-year deal on Wednesday. Staiger (1.95 meters, 27 years old) arrives from FC Bayern Munich, where he averaged 3 points and 1.6 rebounds in 7 Turkish Airlines Euroleague games last season. He helped Bayern win the German League title in 2014 and reach the final in 2015, losing against his new team, Bamberg. Staiger has also played for TSG Ehingen, ALBA Berlin and Neckar Riesen Ludwigsburg in his native Germany. Staiger has also been a member of the German national team and helped ALBA reach the Eurocup final in 2010. "Lucca is a young veteran who has already earned a lot of respect in German basketball," Bamberg sports director Daniele Baiesi said. "Even when he is 27 years old, he brings valuable experience that will help our young team compete in the upcoming season."
