Limoges CSP improved its frontcourt by inking experienced center Ali Traore to a one-year deal on Wednesday. Limoges keep an option to extend his contract until the end of the 2016-17 season. Traore (2.06 meters, 30 years old) arrives from Strasbourg, where he averaged 13.6 points and 4.6 rebounds in 14 Eurocup games last season. He helped Strasbourg win the French Cup and the French Leaders Cup last season, taking his team to the French League final and the Eurocup Last 32. Traore has also played for Asvel Basket, Quimper UJAP, Chorale Roanne, STB Le Havre and JSF Nanterre in France, Lottomatica Virtus Roma in Italy, ALBA Berlin in Germany, Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar in Russia and Amchit Club in the Lebanon. He helped ALBA win the German Cup title in 2013 and lifted the Semaine des As (currently French Leaders Cup) trophy with Asvel in 2010. Traore has also been a member of the French national team, helping Les Bleus get a silver medal at EuroBasket 2011.
