Sportingbet Fantasy Challenge: Top 16, Week 5 winner
The drama of
Sportingbet Fantasy Challenge
is matching the drama on the court in the Euroleague as the contest has reached its next-to-last week with yet more changes in leaders. The newest prize winner in a low-scoring Top 16, Week 5 was Giorgos Paparas of Greece, whose team "Red Inspiration" had the season's third-lowest winning score, 202. That, however, was two-tenths of a point better than the second-best manager, so Giorgos earned the weekly prize, an official Euroleague basketball. Remember, too, that all weekly winners enter a drawing at season's end for an additional prize, so you can even register for the very last week of the Top 16 and the contest, get the opening credit line of 500, and compete for two prizes still! Also say hello to two new leaders in the Top 16 and full-season standings. Now holding first place in the Top 16 with just a week left is Matija Roic of Croatia, whose team "Tonta" is up to 901.5 points after the first five games of the round. Matija holds a lead of 4.5 points over second place, so expect that race to be close in Top 16, Week 6, the last of this year's contest. Whoever is best for the Top 16 will receive a couple of special prizes - a signed jersey of his or her choice of Euroleague player plus Sportingbet Free Bets worth €100. What's more, with the same one week left until there is a grand prize winner, there has been yet another change at the top of the overall standings! The new leader is Aivaras Rastauskas of Lithuania, whose team "Devil666" has come on strong in the Top 16 to soar into the lead with 2,528 points, which is almost 18 points better than second place. With one week left, however, the grand prize - a VIP trip for two to the 2010 Final Four in Paris and €500 worth of Sportingbet Free Bets - is up for grabs, so get your teams ready. The contest last deadline of 2009-10 is 17:15 on Wednesday, March 10, one hour before that week's first game, CSKA vs. Zalgiris in Group G. Follow Sportingbet Fantasy Challenge to its exciting finish!
