German champion Brose Baskets Bamberg added another top young German talent by signing shooting guard Malik Mueller to a three-year contract. Mueller (1.90 meters, 21 years old) spent the last two years at Virginia Tech University. As a part-time starter last season, he averaged 6.2 points on 38.3% three-point shooting and 2.5 rebounds in 33 games for the Hokies. In Germany, Mueller will be double licensed to play for both Bamberg and its farm team Bike-Café Messingschlager Baunach, whose coach, Fabian Villmeter, previously worked with Mueller in his youth at EOSC Offenbach. Mueller has also represented the German national team at both the Under-16 and -18 levels.
