Sportingbet Fantasy Challenge crowns two-time champ!
Jorge Martinez, Sportingbet Fantasy Challenge winner
His team name said it all: "KOKE MARTINEZ IS READY TO WIN".

In big letters.

And he was ready.

Again.

In a comeback worthy of the Euroleague teams on the real basketball floor, an ex-champ of Sportingbet Fantasy Challenge is the newest grand prize winner, too. Jorge Martinez of Spain made sure of that by coming from third place, 21.4 points behind the leader, to score 195.6 in Top 16 Week 6 for a season-long total of 2,702.3 points. His winning margin ended up being 12.2 points over the previous week's leader, Aivaras Rastauskas of Lithuania, who finished second. The entire list of this season's Sportingbet Fantasy Challenge prize winners will be published next week.

Martinez becomes the first two-time champion of Sportingbet Fantasy Challenge, having won in 2007. Martinez was no doubt inspired this season by a grand prize he knew well: a VIP trip for him and a friend to the 2010 Final Four in Paris! But that description doesn't go far enough, as Martinez knows well. The prize includes not only the Final Four games, but the All-Euroleague awards ceremony and a spot on the court during the celebration and trophy presentation to the new champions. In fact, when he won in 2007, Martinez found his way on-court to celebrate with Panathinaikos, which led to that privilege becoming an official part of the Sportingbet Fantasy Challenge grand prize!

This year, however, Martinez will find something newer still in his prize package - €500 in Sportingbet Free Bets from the contest's sponsor!

As such, Martinez is becoming something of a legend in the basketball fantasy world. Only three days before winning the Sportingbet Fantasy Challenge grand prize, he won the weekly prize of the Eurocup Fab Five Challenge. Earlier this season, he was the Sportingbet Fantasy Challenge regular season winner, too, just as he had been before winning it all in 2007. Last season, he won the weekly prize twice and finished 16th overall.

One of his secrets is managing many teams. In fact, Martinez put no less than eight teams among the 50 best in the Sportingbet Fantasy Challenge overall standings this season! So now you know, to beat the best you need to have plenty of teams, just like him, and manage them well all season long.

Congratulations once again, Jorge!
