2009-10 Sportingbet Fantasy Challenge prize list!
The latest edition of the Sportingbet Fantasy Challenge has finished with a familiar name atop a new list of prize winners! Jorge Martinez of Spain, the Fantasy Challenge winner back in 2007 and the Regular Season winner this season, will return to the Euroleague Final Four with VIP status as this season's champion. Jorge’s team, "KOKE MARTINEZ IS READY TO WIN," amassed 2,702.3 points over the 16 weeks of the Regular Season and Top 16 to outlast all the rest. His total prize package includes traveling to Paris with a friend to be the Euroleague's VIP guest at the 2010 Final Four, where he will receive special access to the All-Euroleague awards ceremony and the winners' on-court celebration. For the first time this season, the grand prize winner also receives Sportingbet Free Bets worth €500. That is in addition to a team jersey signed by the winner's favorite Euroleague player and the 100€ worth of Sportingbet Free Bets that Jorge was given as the Regular season winner. Jorge's road to first place was not an easy one. Despite leading the competition at the end of the Regular Season, Jorge's team fell behind during the Top 16 and he entered the final week of Fantasy Challenge in third place, 21.4 points behind the leader. But with a trip to the Final Four on the line, "KOKE MARTINEZ IS READY TO WIN" came through with 195.6 points in Top 16 Week 6 to overtake the previous leaders and win the 2009-10 edition of Sportingbet Fantasy Challenge by 12.2 points.

Although he may be the most recognized name among the Sportingbet Fantasy Challenge winners, Jorge Martinez is one among dozens who have earned special prizes for their achievements during and at the end of this season's contest. Runner-up Aivaras Rastauskas of Lithuania, who entered Top 16 Week 6 in first place, will receive a signed jersey of his favorite Euroleague player in addition to Sportingbet Free Bets worth €350. Miguel Huerta of Spain will also get a signed jersey of his choice plus 200€ worth of Sportingbet Free Bets. And the remaining players among the top 10 teams will all get signed jerseys plus 25€ worth of Sportingbet Free Bets. Top 16 winner Arale Weisberg of Israel also wins a a signed jersey of his choice plus 100€ worth of Sportingbet Free Bets. The winners of the scoring, rebounding, three-pointers and assists categories, Panagiotis Fetsis of Greece, Meril Lauter of Estonia, Viktoria Budreckaite of Lithuania and Jose Carlos Sobrino of Spain, all take home special Euroleague merchandising packs and Sportingbet Free Bets worth €50. The 16 weekly winners have all won an Official Euroleague Nike basketball, and one drawn among them, George Polichronidis of Greece, won a drawing to also get a signed player jersey.
